Evaluation Part 4: Our target audience
In this prezi presentation we explore the different age ranges, ethnicity, class, social groups and backgrounds as referenced by Graeme Burton and how our opening sequence would appeal to them as well as who our open sequence is target at. We explore this through target audience as well as what gratifications our opening sequence would offer to our audience.

Directors Commentary (Innosense Final Video):
Below is Billy from our group who was the lead director in our production talking about the various shots and components used in our video to appeal or reflect to our audience.

Additional Script:
Our ident for the opening sequence straight away creates a tensional atmosphere, as the ink connotes to blood, which gives the chiller effect.
Firstly, the opening shot of the clock informs the audience about the setting and time setting of the sequence. The two different times on the clocks gives the impression that there is a slight time laps or perhaps the other character is in another time frame (linking back to the supernatural thriller sub genre), also showing slight montage editing.
0.31 seconds into the video is the introduction to the female character, it allows the audience to see and connect with the character.
0.39 seconds shows a silhouette of a man, we encoded this to create a sense of enigma to the character, throughout the sequence the audience do not see the face of this character; allowing them to decode and create many theories around him.
The close up of the female character (0.40 seconds) makes the audience feel slightly uncomfortable, magnifying the awkward tension. The closeup of the doll surounds it in enigma but also links to the close up of the girl showing that in someway they are connected.
The focus pull in our shot suggests that the killer and the doll are both significant to the narrative of our opening sequences. It also forces the audience to focus on that specific object, making them feel uncomfortable.
The jump cuts used at 1 minute 22 seconds gives the effect of a change in time, or a jump in time. This links back to the quick cut scenes of the clocks; giving the sequence the supernatural atmosphere.
The title of the sequence connotes to someone scratching on a wall, or a chalkboard: magnifying the sinister tone of the sequence.
