Ident Progress-Final Idea:

Ident Progress-Final Idea:

These are screenshots of our group editing our ident for our production company. We decided against the nature idea and went with an ink effect as we wanted the text to appear from the side as the ink fades away. We used Final Cut to edit our text which we debated on and the stock ink footage. This shows progress of our production work on our ident for our production company.

Ident screen shot progress:

Ident screen shot progress:

This is our current edited stock footage of nature. We still need to edit it by fading in our company name on the burst of the suns ray. We want our company name to fade in after this with our company logo which we are in the process of designing and uploading.

Screenshot of the sunset fading image on the tree that we are using for our indent production company footage.

This is a screenshot of us working on final cut to edit together our video footage for our indent production company.
The footage comes from Youtube we searched nature stock footage and reverse the video so that as the sun would set on the tree our production company: Tourniquet Productions would fade in. We have not yet come up with a logo to accompany our indent production company footage.

Opening sequence filming day: Risk Assessment

Opening sequence filming day: Risk Assessment

Billy risk assessing the light. A person
could hit their head or knock the light
down making it an obstacle.

Danny risk assessing the stairs. A person could fall down the
stair and do severe damage to themselves.

Danny risk assessing the banister and the floor. A person could
slide their hand on the wooden banister causing them to fall
on the stairs. Or a person could slip on the wooden varnish floor.

Natalie risk assessing the living room. A
person could clip their foot on the sofa and
fall over or a person could trip over loose wires.

Screenshot of ideal locations for opening sequence:

Screenshot of ideal locations for opening sequence:

These images of basements or cellars is or ideal location to film the psychopathic villain character of our sequence in. We want to make our character apear enigmatic and want to shroud his identity in the shadows to give a sense of anticipation to our audience. We want our psychopathic character to be filmed in this sort of location as it gives a sense of isolation. We wanted for the character to be distant from the outside world around him, plotting against the female character in our opening sequence. The basement needs to be dark, and errei with very little natural light e.g old fashioned candlelight or a beam of light from a window as shown below. The filming of the male character will take place in this basement location.

The images below are screenshots of the location of the female character. Most of the footage will take place in her bedroom leading her to progress through her house and outside to her car. Her bedroom needs to have a bedside cabinet as one of our shot includes a zoom of an image of her in a photo frame which will then cut to the psychopath in his location looking at the same image. In addition there needs to be a prop of a mirror in the room. This is needed to convey the female character's vanity as well as to show the female character getting ready to leave. The room should be well lit in contrast to the psychopaths location with lot of natural as well as artificial light. Sun coming through the windows and the lights in the bedroom. We want to make the house look like a safe environment, and in reality, showing in the sequence that the female character can still be targeted in her home safe environment.

Screenshots of fonts for opening sequence

Screenshots of fonts for opening sequence:

This font design was an idea that we were going to use for the credits of
the opening sequence e.g actors names and production names etc,

This font design was an idea that we were going to use for the title of the production company: Tourniquet Productions. This is a good font as it's mysterious and helps to convey to our audience that our sequence is a thriller.

This font design was an idea that we would use for the title of the opening sequence: Innosense. This is a good font as it they writing is  bold and catches the audiences attention as well as the fact that it ressembles blood dripping down a wall.

This font design resembled a killers journal. It ressembles an old fashioned typewriter but also looks like the ink writing of a person. This writing would be used for the credits as if the killer has wrote them on himself. It will convey to the audience the enigmiousity of the killer.

Ident screen shot initial ideas

Ident screen shot initial ideas:

These are screen shots of us working on our Indent for the production company of our opening sequence however we have decided against this format and have decided to change our idea to  a nature landscape as opposed to the film reel design that is shown in the screen shot ideas. However these initial ideas are of help to us as it has allowed us to realise what works for us as a group and what doesn't and has allowed us to have a clearer ideas of what we now want.
